Stranded
  I just read a wonderful poem by Natassja Linder.Experienced At |10:31 PM|
 STRANDED

In this world where magic dies
Gods are dead and metal flies
Where all can be explained by science
Here I stand in blind defiance
Of all they want me to believe
Of all they think I should achieve
 Here, alone, where glory’s dead
Where countless silent tears are shed
Over earth that used to be
 Over all we cannot see
 Over all we’ll never find
Here on earth the stars are blind
 And without mercy torment me
And so I wish I could not see
Could not remember what once was
Why am I to suffer thus?
Tell me now what crime is mine
While ancient stars on me do shine
For what am I punished so?
From this place I long to go
And roam again a world of wonder
And look, behold, the full moon yonder,
With the stars so shines tonight
Oh, why am I to see the light
With eyes that long ago did see
Magic, pure and wild and free
To be tamed by no mans hand
To be encaged in no mans land
When songs and tales still rang so true
The time when I had faith in you
And even now I hear your voice
Telling me you had no choice
But the day when I’ll be free
You’ll still be watching over me.
